Laura Trapp entered Christian ministry with her marriage to Dr. Bill Trapp in 1973. He was a pastor, and she the "preacher's wife," in Southern Baptist life and ministry for 27 years.  During these years of ministry the Lord gave her consistent opportunities to teach adults in Bible study and to form and lead women's ministries.

During all the years of their ministry they consistently saw the touch of revival and fruit, as men and women were brought to faith in Christ and grew in their knowledge of Him. The churches where they ministered were 'alive' churches, growing and often leading their area in baptisms.

In 1997, a surprise diagnosis of Lou Gehrig's disease in Brother Bill, Laura's apparently healthy husband, sent their lives and church spinning, turning their world upside down. But, in suffering and trial, God has a way of turning things right side up, when we trust Him in the fire. Three and one half years later, Bill was called to be with Jesus, but he left behind a church family that was CHANGED by the exercise of faith, as they stormed heaven in intercession for their beloved pastor. Bill was not healed as they had prayed, but in the aftermath, there is a legacy of faith that has endured.

These lessons of faith and triumph, learned in the fire, combined with 30 years experience in Bible teaching, make for a powerful ministry to hurting women everywhere who are struggling with their own private pain.

Laura currently resides in Louisville, Kentucky, and continues to travel and speak for women's events.  She holds a Masters degree in elementary education and has taught in both public and Christian Schools.  She also recently finished a second Masters Degree in Christian Education/Women's Ministries at Southern Seminary. She is the mother of three sons – Brady, Brian, and Brett. Laura is also a writer, and has been published for the past eight years in "Common Ground Christian News". In 2002 the Lord released her to focus full time in women's ministry through MorningJoy Ministries.
